How to come
By plane
The airport is located 9km away from Chora. During summer, there are daily flights from Eletherios Venizelos airport in Athens, operated by Sky Express and flight connections with the islands of Rhodes, Kos, Leros and Kalymnos, 2-3 times per week, operated by Sky Express.

By boat
The ports of Astypalea are Skala (Pera Gialos), which is 1 km away from Chora, and Agios Andreas, which is 6 km away from Chora.
Astypalea is connected by ferry with islands of the Cyclades (Paros, Naxos, Donousa, Amorgos), as well as with islands of the Dodecanese, through Blue Star Ferries. It is also connected with the island of Kalymnos via ANEK Kalymnos, as well as with islands of the Dodecanese (Agathonisi, Arki, Kalymnos, Kos, Leipsoi, Leros, Nisyros, Rhodes, Tilos, Halki, Samos) through Dodekanisos Seaways.
