HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES

We take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our premises and operate in accordance with the recommendations by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Greek Government guidelines.

We have partnered with Be Safer leading experts in testing and inspections, to ensure that our sanitary measures are exceedingly sufficient and that our operation protocols and rigorous cleaning regime is based on international sanitation standards which allow Kallichoron Art Boutique Hotel to operate safely.

OUR PEOPLE

Every staff member is using personal protection equipment (PPE) and has successfully completed dual training on health and safety practices organized by Be Safer in collaboration with the Prefecture of South Aegean, for their own health as well as Kallichoron’s guests. The training frequency is increased, and attention is given on hygiene measures and updates regarding coronavirus. This is vital to help safeguard the health of our employees and guests.

In addition, a designated Hygiene & Safety team was created, responsible to monitor and support the overall operation of our hotel and ensure we operate flawlessly complying with latest authorities’ guidelines.

CLEANING & HOUSEKEEPING

We enforce a rigorous cleaning regime and thorough sanitization practices in all rooms, common areas and ‘back of house’ for your safety. All kitchen staff adheres to HACCP rules.

Innovative cleanliness and disinfection systems with the use of fogger and certified biocide liquids are used before we welcome the next guests in our rooms. Laundry is done on-site to avoid unnecessary contact with others outside the hotel.

GUEST CARE

We avoid overcrowding in all common areas. Guests are encouraged to complete the fast check-in option available prior to arrival via our mobile App and to use their credit/debit cards for payment at check-out.

Hand sanitizer is available in all common areas and we encourage frequent application for staff and guests alike. Disposable 3ply face masks are available upon request. Infrared thermometers are available at the front desk to conduct temperature checks of our guests and employees upon request. 

FOOD & BEVERAGES

We have increased the frequency of compliance checks on our food safety standards and the cleaning and disinfection of the kitchen and storage rooms. All kitchen staff are required to strictly adhere to HACCP rules.

Our à la carte personalized breakfast service "Grandma's Breakfast" remains in place and is served at guests verandas. Should you wish to receive your breakfast at our breakfast hall, pre-booked time-slots will be adhered to. The same policy applies free of charge to all our F&B services. Upon request, guests have the option of Grandma’s Breakfast Basket so that they can prepare their own breakfast at their room at no extra charge.

Digital communication via SuitePad tablets is encouraged to facilitate contactless breakfast and room service orders, as well as contact with Reception.

FEEL SAFE AT ALL TIMES AT KALLICHORON

The health, safety and comfort of our guests and employees is our top priority.

In addition to the above hygiene measures, we have partnered with a Telemedicine Centre to provide guests and staff with 24/7 access to COVID-19 cases updates by their dedicated Infectious Diseases Team.

In June 2021, we conducted a COVID-19 case handling drill exercise as part of testing the entire emergency and response procedures.

PROTECTING OURSELVES AND OTHERS FROM COVID-19

  • Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water
  • Avoid unnecessary contact
  • Avoid touching eyes, mouth and nose
  • Cover the mouth with the elbow when coughing and sneezing
  • Keep at least one meter (three feet) distance between you and others, especially when coughing or sneezing

SUPPORTING SOCIETY DURING COVID-19 WITH KALLICHORON ROOM2GIVE

We deeply believe that supporting the communities where we live and work makes the difference. We feel heartened by the moments of triumph in everyday acts of courage, humanity and love from the frontline workers, leading the battle against COVID-19.

As a thank you, in 2021, we offered 90 nights with 50% discount during May, June, September and October 2021 to the heroes of this crisis working at the National Health System, who tirelessly battle coronavirus.

Also, in effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Kallichoron supplied Astypalea’s Medical Centre with medical equipment per local doctors’ request.

We back the local community during this crisis and offer our continued support in any way we can.
